TUESDAY MARCH 13
Lorraine spoke with us about working as an editor for Elle and writing for the New York Times. She also described how it is to live in New York City, which can obviously be a challenge! We also got to hear two chapters from her novel-in-the-works, Digging Up Kitty.

WEDNESDAY MARCH 14
Lorraine Kreahling's Writing Workshop
Our visiting writer did such an excellent job! After a full day of classroom appearances, she was so kind as to offer a workshop in the Oak Room West on journalistic writing. Rosaly Roffman's creative writing class was there, among others. We worked on writing about some descriptive aspect, such as what scares us the most, in a very short amount of time. We had to describe what we intended with no unnecessary details, much like a writer composing a newspaper article would.
