| Comment(s): Women in the Bible This course will survey the stories of women in the Bible and will introduce students to the questions and methods of research that contemporary women and feminist biblical scholars bring to them. What were biblical women's goals and concerns? Were they literate and could women have written any part of the Bible? Were the Biblical societies sexist? What roles did women have in an ancient society? What does the way these stories have been interpreted for over two thousand years tell us about women historically and theologically?
