Dr. Anne Simon, Professor in the Department of Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and Science Advisor for The X-Files, is author of The Real Science Behind the X-Files: Microbes, Meteorites, and Mutants in which Simon examines such topics as cloning, aging, genetic engineering, and life on other planets.  In addition to her X-Files work, Simon is an eminent plant virologist and Editor of the international journal, Virology, and Associate Editor of Molecular Plant-Microbe Interactions.
