| Darlene Richardson (IUP professor of Geoscience and Women's Studies faculty) shares a method of teaching science which re-evaluates traditional styles of teaching (which were often biased against women) and seeks to use language that is gender friendly or gender neutral, as well as making science classes more engaging for all students. | Laura Rhodes (IUP professor of Safey Science) recalls how she was initially discouraged from majoring in Safey Sciences when she was preparing to enter college and how she found her way back to the field by deciding to trust in herself and follow the path she desired. |
