Stright
Hall
The brains of the technical operation at IUP may well be said to lie within the walls of Stright Hall. Home of the mainframe, or the mother computer, as well as the Graduate School the Institute for Research and Community Service, the Grants and Sponsored Research Offices, and the Computer Science and Math departments, Stright holds all the ingredients required for educating and inspiring the next great computer mastermind. It contains the central nervous system of IUP’s computer network and its several computer labs give students and staff the opportunity to learn everything from Microsoft Power Point to Virtual Reality Modeling Language. Built in 1976 and named after Dr. I. Leonard Stright, it is located at the northernmost tip of campus. You will also find Stright´s Mahachek Auditorium on the first floor.
