IUP to Sponsor Women's Basketball Coaches Association "Think Pink" Day on February 16

The IUP women’s basketball team will participate in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association "Think Pink" Day on Saturday, February 16 when the Crimson Hawks host Edinboro at 5:30 p.m.

All fans attending the game are encouraged to wear pink as part of this important breast cancer awareness initiative.  Almost 900 schools nationwide at all levels are expected to take part in the 2008 "Think Pink" campaign.

The "Think Pink" Day continues the women's basketball team's commitment to increasing breast cancer awareness and raising money for research.

In December, the team hosted the 3rd Annual Susan G. Komen for the Cure Shoot for the Cure Classic at Memorial Field House and raised $11,700 for Komen Pittsburgh.  That brings the three-year total to over $30,000.
