IUP fell to Mercyhurst by a score of 3-0 in a non-conference match Wednesday night in Erie.

The Lakers took a 30-22, 30-18, 30-24 victory to improve to 4-1 on the season while the Crimson Hawks are 0-5.

Tessa Siewert had six kills and Maddie Schulte added five for IUP.  Laura Robinette had four kills and four digs while Tessa Irwin contributed three kills, four aces and three blocks.

Chelsey Kreinbrook handed out 10 assists, one more than Emily McCombie, and Emily Pany had 13 digs.   

IUP plays host to the Crimson Hawk/Best Western Invitational this weekend at Memorial Field House.  IUP takes on Adelphi at noon and Georgian Court at 7 p.m. on Friday.

The following day, the Crimson Hawks take on Salem International at noon and Pitt Johnstown at 7 p.m.
