IUP Falls to PSAC West Leader and Nationally Ranked Lock Haven

IUP dropped a 3-0 decision at Lock Haven on Tuesday, falling to the 19th-ranked Lady Eagles by scores of 30-26, 30-24, 30-23.

The Indians are 22-7 overall and 2-4 in the PSAC West while Lock Haven maintained its lead in the division at 6-0 and 20-4 overall.

Brittany Gates had 12 kills for IUP while Michelle Jones had eight and Jill Bixler added five as well as 12 digs.  Alicia Koches had 30 assists and eight digs.

Krista Nordby led IUP in digs with 14, and Carri Cole made six.  Trisha Gerus contributed three blocks.  Koches, Nordby, Cole and Kelly Wolff all had one service ace.

IUP is off until next Tuesday when it plays another PSAC West match at Slippery Rock.
