Brian Spickler Steps Down as IUP
Track and Field Head Coach
Brian Spickler has announced his resignation as the track and field head
coach at IUP to pursue his Olympic aspirations as a member of the U.S.
bobsled team.
Spickler spent six seasons as head
coach at IUP after an illustrious athletic career at the university
which saw him win two PSAC titles in the decathlon and twice earn
All-America accolades.
During his coaching career at his
alma mater, Spickler coached one national champion, 11 different
athletes who earned spots on All-America teams (for a total of 22
berths) and many PSAC event champions.
