Nicole Blaesser Selected as PSAC Track Athlete of the Week

IUP junior Nicole Blaesser has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Track Athlete of the Week after a standout performance in the 3,000 meters at the PSAC West Challenge on Saturday at California.

Blaesser is a two-time recipient of the award this year, having also been selected during the indoor season during the winter.

Blaesser (Oxford/Oxford) ran the distance in a time of 10:11.40 to take over the top spot in the PSAC and provisionally qualify for nationals.  She is currently ranked 16^th in the nation in Division II.

Earlier this outdoor season, Blaesser had a time of 36:22.28 in the 10,000 meters, a mark that places her first in the PSAC and third nationally.
