IUP sophomore Andriana
Nunic won two matches to advance to the quarterfinals of the PSAC individual
tournament on Saturday at Shippensburg.
Nunic defeated Rose Conwell
of West Chester, 6-1, 6-2 and then bested Corin Rombach of Clarion by the
same score. Her tournament came to an end when she lost to Kayla Blackburn
of Slippery Rock, 6-1, 6-1.
Caitlin Heston also
represented IUP at the tournament, and she dropped her opening round match
to Laura Handy of Slippery Rock, 6-1, 6-1.
Nunic and Heston played in
the doubles tournament, receiving a first round bye before losing to
Clarion's Rombach and Kristen Jack by a score of 8-4.
