IUP Women's Swimming Wins Eighth Straight Meet In Win Over Shippensburg

The IUP women's swim team (10-1) won their eight straight meet with a 117-87 win over Shippensburg Saturday as the men dropped to 4-5 with a 110-78 loss. 

Jen Price won the 200 freestyle (1:59.50) and 500 freestyle (5:19.60). Other individual winners were Heidi Mitskavich in the 1000 freestyle (11:00.43), Abbey Doran in the 50 freestyle (25.02) and Brittany Watkins in the 200 IM (2:16.45).

Casey Beck won the 100 backstroke (1:02.98) and Kate Rowe won the 100 breastroke (1:09.72).

Jeff Gavin led the men with wins in the 1000 freestyle (10:15.74) and 500 freestyle (5:00.26). 

Both teams visit Clarion February 1 for a 6:00 meet.
