Pawel Glowiak Wins Three Events to Lead IUP Swimmers in Loss to Shippensburg

Individual Results

Pawel Glowiak won three events and three other IUP swimmers were double event winners but the Crimson Hawks were defeated in both meets by Shippensburg on Saturday at Memorial Field House.

The IUP women lost to Shippensburg, 136-125, while the men lost by a score of 154-106.

Baron Leonard also won two events on the men's side while Abbey Doran and Jen Price captured two events in the women's competition.

Glowiak won the 100 backstroke (51.12) and 200 backstroke (1:57.19) as well as the 50 freestyle (21.65).  Leonard touched first in the 100 breaststroke (1:01.66) and 200 breaststroke (2:25.64).

James Reed rounded out the men's individual event winners by taking the 100 butterfly (54.17).  The 400 freestyle relay team of Glowiak, Brenden Hiscock, Nick Longenbach and Troy Greathouse won in 3:19.91.

Doran was the winner in the 50 freestyle (24.27) and 100 freestyle (55.03) while Price won the 200 freestyle (1:58.51) and 500 freestyle (5:20.32).

Doran, Galit Regev, Kate Rowe and Carlee Myers comprised the winning team in the 400 freestyle relay (3:42.31).

IUP is back in action on February 11 when it hosts a last chance qualifying meet at Memorial Field House.
