IUP Competes Against
West Chester and Clarion in Double Dual Meet

The IUP men's and women's swim teams resumed their
season Friday and Saturday in a double dual meet against West Chester
and host Clarion.
Both teams lost to the Golden Rams and Golden
Eagles, the two historically dominant programs in the Pennsylvania State
Athletic Conference.
Jeremy Butler led the IUP men by placing in the top
six in three events, including a first place finish in the 200 back
(1:59.54). He was also fourth in the 100 back (55.25) and sixth in
the 200 free (1:51.39).
James Reed was second in the 200 fly (2:00.13) and
fifth in the 400 IM (4:23.86). William Schneider was fourth in the
1650 free (17:43.60) and sixth in the 500 free (5:06.52).
On the women's side, IUP had two swimmers earn
second place finishes, including Melissa Kucharczuk in the 200 free
(1:58.55) and Brittany Watkins in the 400 IM (4:43.94).
Natasha Iacobucci, Carissa Lewis and Galit Regev
each had a pair of top six finishes.
Iacobucci was third in the 200 breast (2:31.23) and
fourth in the 100 breast (1:10.07). Lewis was fifth in both the
200 breast (2:34.07) and 400 IM (4:53.41) while Regev was fifth in the
50 free (25.74) and sixth in the 100 fly (1:03.36).
