Marek Malopolski, Luci Plaxton Place in Top Eight at NCAA Meet

Freshman Marek Malopolski finished third in the 100 breaststroke while junior Luci Plaxton was seventh in the 100 backstroke in day three action at the NCAA Division II meet in Orlando.

Malopolski posted a time of 55.97 to break his own school record.  Plaxton touched in a time of 58.45 in the finals after covering the distance in 57.91 in the prelims.

Heidi Mitskavich competed in the 500 freestyle but did not qualify for the finals.

The four-day meet concludes on Saturday, with Ostrowski and Plaxton entered in the 100 free, Malopolski in the 200 breast and Miskavich in the 1650 free.
