Bartosz Ostrowski Takes Tenth Place Finish in 200 Free

Freshman Bartosz Ostrowski swam to a tenth place finish in the 200 freestyle in the lone event by an IUP swimmer on day two of the NCAA meet in Orlando.

Ostrowski twice broke his own school record in the event, posting a time of 1:40.58 in the prelims and then touching in 1:40.19 in the finals.  His previous best time was 1:40.98.

The other three IUP swimmers return to action on Friday, including Luci Plaxton in the 100 backstroke, Marek Malopolski in the 100 breaststroke and Heidi Mitskavich in the 500 free.

The four-day meet concludes on Saturday, with Ostrowski and Plaxton entered in the 100 free, Malopolski in the 200 breast and Miskavich in the 1650 free.
