IUP Rallies Past Seton Hill
IUP overcame a one-goal halftime deficit to post a 3-1 win
over host Seton Hill in a non-conference game on Tuesday.
With the victory, the Indians improved their record to
10-5 on the season. IUP is home against Pitt Greensburg
tomorrow before concluding the regular season with PSAC
home games this weekend against Millersville and West
Chester.
Lisa Castelli tied the game in the second half, with the
assist credited to Erin Falce. Falce put the Indians in
front with her 13th goal of the season, assisted by Cora
Roeder.
Shelley Queiser gave IUP an insurance goal when she took
a pass from Krista Dohn and found the back of the net.
Sarah Daw played the first 70 minutes in goal for IUP and
made six saves. Georgia Goodman stopped four shots over
the final 20 minutes.
With her performance on Tuesday, Falce continued her climb
up the IUP season and career record book. The freshman
is now tied for third in single season goals and has sole
possession of third place with 32 points.
In only 14 games at IUP, Falce already ranks tied for fifth
in career goals scored and tied for seventh in points. The
Indian women's soccer program began in 1994.
