Falce Posts Hat Trick to Lead
IUP Past Penn State Altoona
Erin Falce scored three first half goals as IUP jumped off to a
4-0 lead at intermission, and the Indians coasted to a 7-1 win
over host Penn State Altoona Tuesday night.
IUP improved to 2-0 on the season. Shanelle Peters got IUP on
the scoreboard first before Falce tallied the next three goals
to get the rout under way.
The Indians added three more scores over the final 45 minutes,
with Crystal Heder, Corey Weir and Ashley Gast finding the net.
Heder and Emily Thomas both had two assists, and Peters and
Shelley Queiser also assisted on goals.
Sarah Daw was again relatively untested in goal for IUP, making
only two saves. Jackie Campenni stopped 10 shots for Penn State
Altoona.
