IUP Blanks Pitt Greensburg
in Non-Conference Contest
Tia Kipp scored two goals and Cora Roeder added a goal and two assists to
lead IUP to a 5-0 victory over host Pitt Greensburg to end a eight-game
winless skid.
The Indians improved to 4-7-1 with the non-conference victory.
Kipp and Ashley Gast scored first half goals to stake IUP to a 2-0 lead
at intermission, with Roeder assisting on the Gast tally.
Roeder assisted on the second Kipp goal to give the Indians a 3-0 advantage,
and then Roeder scored herself off an assist by Gast to open the lead to
4-0.
Shelley Dicken rounded out the scoring when she took a pass from Shelley
Queiser and put the ball in the back of the net.
Sarah Daw played the first 85 minutes in goal and made three saves. Jill
Yacubouich was not forced to make a save while playing the last five minutes
of the game.
IUP returns to action at home on Wednesday with a 4:00 game against Seton
Hill.
