IUP Shut Out by Lock
Haven in PSAC Contest
IUP suffered its second consecutive shutout in Pennsylvania State Athletic
Conference play, dropping a 1-0 decision to visiting Lock Haven on Tuesday
afternoon.
The Lady Eagles, ranked fifth in the nation in the latest National Soccer
Coaches Association poll, raised their record to 5-0 and 2-0 in the PSAC
while IUP fell to 3-2 and 0-2.
Lock Haven scored the only goal of the game with 21:18 remaining before
halftime when Brooke Rangi took a pass from Danielle Smith and found the
back of the net.
IUP was limited to only four shots on goal, and Heather Ireland stopped
each one. Sarah Daw was credited with seven saves for the Indians.
IUP will look to snap its two-game losing streak when the team travels to
East Stroudsburg for another PSAC contest on Sunday.
