IUP Wins Second Straight
by Blanking Hillsdale
Laurie Nebiker scored her second goal in as many games, an unassisted tally
18 minutes after the start of the contest, to lift IUP to a 1-0 victory over
Hillsdale, the second win in as many days for the Indians.
Sarah Daw made eight saves for IUP, which held a 14-8 advantage in shots on
goal. Ashley Ball registered nine saves for the Chargers, who were playing
their season opener.
Daw, who assumed the starting role this season, has allowed only one goal in
two games, including a 3-1 victory over Gannon on Friday. Nebiker scored a
goal and had an assist in the win over the Golden Knights.
IUP is off until next Saturday when the Indians host Daemen in their first
home game of the season. Kickoff for that contest is noon.
