IUP Claims First PSAC Win

IUP won its first Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference contest of the
season, downing host Clarion by a score of 3-0 Tuesday afternoon.
The Indians are 6-8-2 overall and 1-7-2 in the PSAC while Clarion fell
to 3-14-1 and 0-11 in conference play. IUP has lost only once in its
past five games.
Shelley Queiser scored two goals and Cora Roeder also found the back of
the net to pace the IUP offense. Roeder and Tia Kipp were credited with
assists.
Sarah Daw made nine saves to preserve the shutout. Daw has allowed a
total of only three goals in the past five contests.
IUP wraps up its season on Friday with a PSAC game at home against
Shippensburg beginning at 2:00.
