    Bloomsburg Hands IUP
    Shutout Defeat



    
    Bloomsburg scored three goals in a span of 13:08 midway through the second half
    as the Huskies downed IUP 3-0 in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference game
    on Friday.
    
    The win improved Bloomsburg to 8-3-2 overall and 5-1-1 in the PSAC while IUP is
    3-7-1 and 0-6-1 in conference play.  The Huskies moved one point in front of
    Millersville and into second place in the PSAC.
    
    After a scoreless first half, Bloomsburg scored the only goal it would need when
    Amanda McLaughlin found the net off an assist by Erin Snyder with 24:24 left in
    the contest.  
    
    The Huskies added a second goal with 15:32 remaining when Vanessa Peregrim scored
    an unassisted goal.  Becky Ritter provided the final margin at the 11:16 mark 
    when she put in a corner kick by McLaughlin.
    
    Bloomsburg held a decisive 22-7 advantage in shots, with IUP goalkeeper Sarah 
    Daw making 15 saves.  Heather Hartman made three saves for the Huskies.
    
    IUP returns to action on Monday at 3:00 at Pitt Greensburg.  The Indians next
    play at home on Wednesday when Seton Hill visits for a 4:00 kickoff.
