Heder's Goal Lifts IUP
Past California

Crystal Heder scored the only goal of the game with 11 minutes
remaining in the first half, giving IUP a 1-0 win over host
California in a PSAC contest Tuesday afternoon.

IUP improved to 5-3 overall and 2-3 in the PSAC while snapping
a three-game losing streak.  California is 7-3-1 and 2-2-1 in
the PSAC.

Heder took a corner from Emily Thomas and put the ball past
Vulcan goalkeeper Dana Galiffa for the only score of the game.
Both teams had numerous chances the rest of the contest but
were unable to put the ball in the net.

Sarah Daw registered the shutout for IUP, making four saves.
Galiffa stopped six shots for California.

IUP stays on the road Saturday for a PSAC matchup at Kutztown.
