IUP Uses Two Falce Goals to Defeat Cal in PSAC West Contest

Erin Falce scored a pair of first half goals to stake IUP to a 2-0 lead, and the Indians went on to a 3-1 victory over California in a PSAC West contest.

IUP is 5-1 overall and 1-1 in the PSAC West while the Vulcans dropped to 3-5 and 1-1 in the division.

Falce scored her 10th and 11th goals of the season during the opening 45 minutes, with Kirsten Hogg and Crystal Heder picking up assists.

California cut its deficit in half on a penalty shot by Terri Flaherty before Heder gave IUP an insurance goal off an assist by Falce.  The goal was the seventh of the year for Heder.

Sarah Daw went the distance in goal for the Indians and made eight saves.  Dana Galiffa recorded 10 saves for the Vulcans.

IUP plays next at Pitt Greensburg on Thursday at 5:00 in a non-conference contest.
