Two days after tying the school record with nine goals
against Penn State Altoona, IUP shattered the single game mark in a 13-2
rout of Point Park on Thursday.
The Indians have scored 31 goals while being largely
untested in their first four contests. The road gets considerably
harder on Saturday when IUP opens its PSAC schedule on the road against
sixth-ranked Slippery Rock.
Erin Falce had her second straight hat trick for IUP.
After setting a school record with four goals against Penn State Altoona,
Falce tallied three times to spark the decisive win over Point Park.
She has already scored nine times in the early stages of the season.
Crystal Heder, Krista Dohn and Brittany Pikur each scored
twice while Emily Thomas, Kirsten Hogg, Jenna Witkowski and Courtni Bittner
found the back of the net once.
Meghan Jones had two assists, and Dohn, Corey Weir, Cora
Roeder and Missy Swindel each added one.
Sarah Daw played the first half and made two saves.
Becky Dillard and Tabitha Wiese split time in the second half.
