IUP's Winning Streak
Ends with Loss at Lock Haven
Monica Mangual scored the only goal of the game with 7:43 expired in
the second half, lifting Lock Haven to a 1-0 win over IUP in a PSAC West
game Sunday afternoon.
The loss snapped IUP’s school record seven-game
winning streak, dropping the Indians to 11-2 overall and 3-2 in the PSAC
West. Lock Haven is 6-6-1 and 4-1 in the division.
Sarah Daw made six saves in 56 minutes for IUP to
move into second place in career saves with 317. Becky Dillard played
the final 34 minutes in goal and was credited with one save.
Heather Ireland recorded the shutout, making four
saves for Lock Haven, which held a 12-6 advantage in shots.
IUP is back in action Wednesday with a PSAC West
game at Edinboro beginning at 4:00.
