IUP Blanks Edinboro in PSAC West Contest

Erin Falce and Crystal Heder scored first half goals, and Becky Dillard made it stand up, giving IUP a 2-0 victory over Edinboro in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West contest on Wednesday .

IUP is now 12-2 overall and 4-2 in the PSAC West while Edinboro is 4-5-2 and 2-3 in the division.

Falce broke a scoreless game and extended her school record for goals in a season to 23 when she connected off an assist by Shana Speese with 8:30 remaining in the opening half.

Heder scored for the 13th time this year with just 57 seconds left before intermission, with the assist credited to Cora Roeder.

Dillard, a freshman making her first start of the season, went the distance and made 10 saves.  Abbey Mortus and Trish Chilcott split time in the net for the Fighting Scots and combined for nine saves.
