IUP Ties for Seventh
Place at West Virginia Wesleyan Intercollegiate
IUP shot a team score of 327 to tie for seventh
place at the West Virginia Wesleyan Intercollegiate at the Tygart Golf
Club in Clarksburg, W.Va.
IUP tied with Wheeling Jesuit, two strokes behind
Millersville and Shepherd, four shy of West Virginia State and five in
back of the host Bobcats.
Concord won the team title with a score of 303
for an 11-shot margin over Fairmont State.
Brian Galica was the top IUP individual, tying
for 12th place with a 6-over par score of 78. Dan Vollmer tied for
22nd (81), Eric Anderson tied for 29th (83), Michael Schmidt tied for
39th (85) and Cory Stelick tied for 43rd (86).
J.C. Beecroft of Ohio Valley was the medalist,
firing a 73. He was one shot ahead of Bryan Snow of Shepherd.
