IUP Finishes Third at St. Vincent Invitational; Thomas Facciani, Cory Stelick in Top 10

Thomas Facciani tied for fourth place while Cory Stelick finished in a tie for seventh at the St. Vincent Invitational at the Arnold Palmer course in Latrobe.

Facciani shot a 75 while Stelick fired a 77 for the 18-hole tournament.  The two helped IUP take a third place finish out of 15 teams with a score of 314, two behind Washington & Jefferson and four shy of team champion Clarion.

Facciani finished one shot behind Mike Grasso of Washington & Jefferson, Tyler Fitch of Grove City and Tyler Martin of Slippery Rock.  Fitch won medalist honors in a playoff.

Also competing for the Crimson Hawks were Gavin Smith (80), Joe Pelland (82) and Nic Milito (83).

IUP will compete next on May 7-9 at the NCAA Super Regional tournament in Wheeling, W.Va.
