IUP Takes Second
Runner-Up Position in as Many Days at Slippery Rock Invitational
One day after taking second place at the Cecil
Spadafora/IUP Invitational, the Indian golf team was once again a
runner-up, this time at the Bob Raymond Invitational hosted by Slippery
Rock.
IUP had a score of 298, six shots behind
Millersville. Clarion, which won the IUP event on Wednesday, was
third at 302 while Robert Morris was fourth at 303.
Dan Vollmer paced the IUP individuals by tying
for sixth with a score of 3-over par 73 at the Oakview Golf Club.
Eric Anderson tied for ninth at 74.
Rounding out the IUP competitors were Cory
Stelick (tied for 14th, 75), Cody Kersey (tied for 19th, 76) and Aaron
Williams (tied for 27th, 77).
Tom Will of Clarion was the medalist after firing
a 67, one shot ahead of Dominic Frassinelli of West Chester.
IUP is back in action April 23-24 at the
Allegheny Invitational.
