IUP finished in 12th place out of 32 teams while
competing in the Gold Division at the Camp Lejeune (N.C.)
Intercollegiate over the weekend.
IUP had score of 896 on the harder of two courses
that are used at the tournament. Johnson & Wales won with a score
of 856, 11 ahead of runner-up Oglethorpe.
Aaron Williams was the top IUP individual, tying
for 13th at 217. He shot a 67 on the Scarlet course on Friday and
a 71 on the tougher Gold course on Saturday. The 67 was the lowest
round of the weekend for IUP competitors.
Cory Stelick shot a 220 and was followed by
Michael Schmidt (225), Cody Kersey (235) and Dan Vollmer (238).
IUP plays Saturday and Sunday at the West
Virginia Wesleyan Invitational.
