Cory Stelick Named PSAC Golfer of the Week

IUP sophomore Cory Stelick has been selected the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week after winning the Burger King/Ohio Valley Invitational last weekend. 

Stelick had a 4-under par score of 138 on the par 71 Woodridge Plantation course, including a 68 on Saturday that was the second lowest single round among the 99 players in the field.  He finished three shots ahead of Charleston’s Michael Todd, who qualified for nationals a year ago.

Stelick led IUP to the championship of the 18-team tournament with a four-shot margin over host Ohio Valley.  He earned a spot on the all-region team last spring after finishing ninth at the NCAA East Region tournament.

IUP is back in action Sunday and Monday at the Hal Hansen Memorial Tournament hosted by Clarion.
