IUP stands in third place following the first day of the PSAC golf
championship, being held at the Wren Dale Golf Club in Hummelstown.
IUP had a team score of 307 to trail West Chester by four strokes and
Millersville by three. Rounding out the men’s field are Clarion (316) and
California (317). Women’s teams competing in the tournament include
California (330), Kutztown (331) and West Chester (394).
Cory Stelick leads IUP individually, firing a score of 75 on the par 72
course to tie for fourth. Nic Milito is tied for seventh (76), Thomas
Facciani is tied for 11th (77) and Gavin Smith and Joey Reed are
tied for 15th (79).
Jared Miller of West Chester was the only golfer under par, shooting a 71 to
lead Justin Scott of Clarion and Dominic Frassinelli of West Chester by
three shots.
The two-day tournament concludes on Sunday.
