IUP Holds First Day
Lead at PSAC Golf Tournament
The IUP golf team holds down first place
following the first day of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference
tournament.
The Indians had a team score of 303, one stroke
ahead of Clarion and two clear of Millersville. The two-day
tournament at the Wren Dale Golf Club in Hummelstown wraps up on Sunday.
Eric Anderson is first in the individual
standings, firing a 1-over par score of 73. Justin Moose of
Clarion is one shot back, followed by a group at 75 that includes IUP's
Dan Vollmer.
Other Indians competing at the tournament include
Brian Galica (tied 9th, 77) and Michael Schmidt and Aaron Williams, both
tied for 12th with a score of 78.
After IUP, Clarion and Millersville, the team
standings show West Chester (312), California (318), Slippery Rock
(327), California women (339) and Kutztown women (354).
