IUP Blanks Slippery Rock
in PSAC Contest
Kandice Pyles had a goal and an assist to lead IUP to a
3-0 shutout over host Slippery Rock in a PSAC contest
Saturday afternoon.
IUP improved to 4-7 overall and 3-5 in the PSAC while
Slippery Rock dropped to 1-8 and 1-6 in the conference.
Amy Pincock gave IUP the only goal it would need with
4:46 left in the first half with the assist credited to
Pyles.
Just 2:32 later, Pyles found the cage on a pass from
Wendy Strohl. Becky Frank put the finishing touches
on the IUP scoring when she took a pass from Chrissy
Hill and beat Slippery Rock goalkeeper Tara Bailey.
Bailey made 12 saves for Slippery Rock. Jamie Parell
stopped four shots for IUP.
IUP hosts Lock Haven in a PSAC game Monday at 4:00.
