IUP Holds 1-0 Lead Over Slippery Rock in Game Suspended by Snow

IUP held a 1-0 lead over Slippery Rock with 16:32 remaining in the first half when the game was suspended by snow.  No decision has been made on the resumption of the contest.

Liz Martini scored the goal for IUP, assisted by Brittany Owens.  IUP (13-4, 10-3 PSAC) entered the game having won 12 of its past 13 games and was second in the South Region and third in the STX/National Field Hockey Coaches Association poll.

IUP is scheduled to play its regular season finale at Mercyhurst on Sunday at 1 p.m.  The PSAC tournament begins on Friday at Bloomsburg, with IUP taking on Shippensburg in the first semifinal at 2 p.m., followed by Bloomsburg against Mansfield.
