Pincock's Overtime Goal Lifts
IUP Past Millersville
Kandice Pyles intercepted a pass and fed Amy Pincock
for the winning goal with 1:33 left in overtime, giving
IUP a 2-1 victory over visiting Millersville Thursday
afternoon at Miller Stadium.
IUP improved to 8-9 overall and 6-7 in the PSAC while
the Marauders fell to 2-13 and 1-12 in conference play.
The Indians have won eight of 13 games since Rutger
Wiese assumed the head coaching duties on September 13.
Millersville jumped out to a 1-0 lead just 7:03 into
the game when Danielle Nelson scored an unassisted goal.
IUP tied it up with 5:59 expired after intermission
when Pincock scored her first goal of the game off an
assist by Becky Frank.
IUP held a decided 26-5 advantage in shots, with Jada
Wolfe making 12 saves in goal for Millersville. Jamie
Parell stopped three Marauder shot attempts.
IUP is back on the road Saturday for another PSAC game
at Mansfield.
