IUP junior wide receiver Anthony Cellitti has been named to the CoSIDA ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District II first team and will be placed on the ballot for Academic All-America honors.

Cellitti (Apollo/Kiski Area) boasts a perfect grade point average of 4.00 through his first four semesters and is a two-time PSAC Scholar-Athlete as a health and physical education major.

He started all 10 games during the recently completed 2006 season and led IUP with 27 receptions for 318 yards and tied for the team lead with two touchdown catches.   

Cellitti saved his biggest moment for the final offensive play of the year, catching a 28-yard scoring pass with 50 seconds left to give IUP a 21-17 win over California and a share of the PSAC West title.

A two-year starter and first team All-PSAC West selection as a sophomore a year ago, Cellitti has caught 58 passes for 726 yards and six touchdowns during his collegiate career. 

The CoSIDA ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America team will be announced later this month.
