IUP junior Dan Snyder has been named the PSAC West Pitcher of the Week after leading the Crimson Hawks to a 3-2 win over Seton Hill on Saturday.

Snyder, who played at Indiana High School, took a three-hit shutout into the eighth inning before needing relief help.  He finished the game surrendering five hits and two runs, struck out 10 and did not walk a batter.

Snyder improved his record to 3-0 on the season.  The righthander has allowed only 13 hits and six runs in 23 innings of work, walking just two batters and striking out 22. 

He has also picked up a 4-2 win over Columbia Union and had a complete game, three-hitter with eight strikeouts in a 10-2 victory over Newport News Apprentice.

Snyder is tied for the PSAC lead in wins and ranks 14^th in the conference with an ERA of 2.35.  Opponents are batting just .159 against him.
