Assistant Coach Anthony Rebyanski

Anthony Rebyanski is in his second season as an assistant coach under Jeff Ditch and is in charge of the IUP pitching staff and as well as serving as the recruiting coordinator.

Rebyanski, a graduate of Indiana High School, pitched for IUP from 2002-05 and his name appears throughout the school’s record book, including fourth in career strikeouts with 163 and tied for third with 30 starts.  He won 12 games (tied for 14th), made a total of 36 appearances (tied for eighth), including 13 complete games (tied for 10th) and threw 174.1 innings to place seventh.

He was named the PSAC West Rookie of the Year in 2002 and honored as the inaugural IUP Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2005 after posting a 3.14 cumulative grade point average.  He earned his bachelor’s degree in communications media from IUP in August 2006.

Rebyanski currently plays for the Windy City Thunderbolts in the independent Frontier League.  He was named to the 2007 Frontier League North All-Star team in mid-July.  The team enjoyed a successful year with a Frontier League best record (68-28) and also set a record for team wins in a single season and the franchise's first ever league championship. 

He finished the 2007 season with 41 appearances, three wins and a save while striking out 60 batters in 43.2 innings of work.
