STUDENT BEHAVIOR REGULATIONS

Students are expected to conduct themselves in a way that does not put others in harm. The source, IUP Student handbook reads as follows:

The list of offenses, which follows, is not to be taken to be exclusive as to the grounds that might lead to the issuance of discipline against a student. The university reserves the right to discipline any student for any action (or any inaction in a situation where the student has a duty to act) that an ordinary, reasonable, intelligent college student knows or should know might result in discipline....

IUP Behavior also states the behavior regulations regarding Sexual Assault is as follows:

Abuse/Harassment/Sexual Assault/Stalking

Attempted or completed sexual assault - includes (but is not limited to) rape, attempted rape, and/or inappropriate touching of another person. Rape is defined as sexual intercourse that is perpetrated against the will of the victim by a person or persons known or unknown to the victim. Rape includes engaging in sexual behavior with a person who is unconscious and/or mentally impaired (including impairment by intoxication and/or other substance abuse).
