Audit Policy

Students who audit courses have the opportunity to attend classes but will not receive a grade or credit for the course, nor will the courses count toward fulfillment of degree requirements for graduation, athletic, or financial aid purposes. Students will be responsible for extra tuition payment if the audited course(s) cause them to exceed the 18-credit semester limit. To audit a course, undergraduate students must have been admitted to the university and have met all course prerequisites. Graduate students must have been admitted to the Graduate School, received permission to audit from the course's instructor, and been approved for course enrollment by the dean of the Graduate School.

Students wishing to audit courses must obtain a Course Audit Form from the department chairperson of the course. Audit students have the same privileges as other students in all coursework. There is no limit to the number of courses which may be audited. All audited courses will be identified as such on the student's Cumulative Grade Report and Official Academic Transcript. Students must submit Course Audit Forms to the Scheduling Center in Clark Hall.
