The Food and Nutrition Department offers a degree program in nutrition with two tracks, dietetics and general nutrition. Within the degree program, students will also select a natural science option dependent upon their academic preparation and career goals. This curriculum prepares students as professionals for a diversity of career opportunities in health care, food service, the food industry, and food and nutrition research.
In addition, the department provides Liberal Studies courses which are available to all university students. These include FDNT 143, an option in the university's Liberal Studies requirements for Health and Wellness; FDNT 145, a Liberal Studies elective; and LBST 499: Food and Culture, a synthesis course.
