INDS 281 Special Topics

Special topics courses are offered on an experimental or temporary basis to explore topics which are not included in the established curriculum. A given topic may be offered under any special topic identity no more than three times. Special topics numbered 281 are offered primarily for lower-level undergraduate students.
INDS 305 Interior Lighting

Lighting fundamentals applicable to the environmental design of residential and commercial spaces. Includes calculation methods, terminology, theory of color visibility, light source alternatives, fixture function and selection, lighting trends, and related professional organizations. INDS 310 Human Factors in Interior Design

An introduction to the modern and historic use and maintenance of materials in architecture, construction, and interior design and the codes and costs that govern their use today. INDS 319 Residential Design II: Kitchen, Bath, Media Room Design

Design elements are applied to kitchen, bath, and media room areas of the residence to provide design solutions supporting individual needs and changing lifestyles. Addresses the needs of special populations. Current national standards will be addressed.

INDS 380 Development of Design II

Opportunity is provided to visit business establishments and cultural centers concerned with household equipment, furnishings, textiles, clothing, and housing in America as well as abroad.
