U.S. Army Major John
Toth ’90 deployed to Iraq in October, 2005, to FOB Summerall in Bayji
Iraq. Toth was the S3 for 1-187 Infantry (Leader Rakkasans) in the 101st
Airborne Division.
“The unit our battalion
replaced was from the Pennsylvania National Guard, and there were several
other IUP ROTC alumni serving in that unit,” wrote Toth. “We took this
picture with as many as we could get together before they departed. I am
on the far right in the digital camo uniform. I don’t have the names of
the other guys in the photo.”
