Tim (’85) and Laura
Demyanek (’85) Pulte were invited to the White House for Valentines
Day.
Tim will also be named
Father of the Year on June 12, 2008, to be awarded jointly by the Father’s
Day Council and the American Diabetes Association at the Loews
Philadelphia Hotel.
In his congratulatory
letter to Pulte, Russell Moore, executive director of ADA, noted, “As a
recipient of the award, you will stand as a role model for other fathers
in your community as well as join in a brotherhood of exceptional fathers
such as General Colin Powell, former President Ronald Reagan, Larry King,
Tommy Lasorda, and Tom Glavin.”
