 Karen
Haupt Merrill ’68 was selected as the Washington Area Education
Association 2007 Elementary Art Teacher of the Year. She teaches at Oak
Harbor Elementary, Whidbey Island. For thirty years, Karen lived in New
York State, moving to the Northwest in 2001. An example of her students’
work is below.
