Major Jim Popa ’87, Major Kevin Bunton ’87, and Captain Robert Krebs ’91 are all serving together with the U.S. Army in Iraq as members of the 300 Area Support Group (ASG). Major Popa is the Garrison Commander for Tallil AB, Iraq. Major Bunton Is the Rear Battle Plans officer for the 300th ASG and oversees Force protection for LSA Adder. Captain Robert Krebs is the Operations Officer for the Civil Military Operations Section and has the opportunity to meet and interact with the local population in the area while overseeing reconstruction projects to improve the local infrastructure. All three were transferred from the Pittsburgh area to the unit, which is based out of Ft. Lee, Va.
