Welcome Residence Hall Students!

TO RECEIVE MAIL AT IUP, YOU WILL BE GIVEN A NEW MAILING ADDRESS............. 

The United States Postal Service has provided a unique ZIP CODE (15705) for Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Beginning FALL 2007, a unique address identifier for RESIDENCE HALL STUDENTS will also be incorporated into the address for all IUP residence hall students receiving mail in the centralized mailbox location. IF you are living in the IUP Residence Halls, your new address will be:

                     Your Name

              Your Mailbox Number  (followed by)  CRIMSON HAWKS

                      Indiana PA 15705 - Your Mailbox Number

The RESIDENCE HALL STUDENT mailbox number, followed by the unique address identifier CRIMSON HAWKS and the Indiana PA 15705 ZIP CODE provides the United States Postal Service with information for delivery of mail to IUP residence hall students Parcel and Package deliveries made through UPS, FedEx, DHL, and Airborne Express will also be delivered to the 15705 address.

 To Claim Your New Mailbox Number.....

1) Go to URSA/ www.iup.edu/ursa

2) Select  STUDENT ID NUMBER @00000000 (8-digit number) and URSA PIN 000000 (6-digit number)  

3) Select “Student Services and Financial Aid”.

4) Select “Display Your Mailbox Information”.

How To Open Your Mailbox....................

1) Turn dial to LEFT (counterclockwise) at least 4 times and stop when FIRST NUMBER is aligned with the INDEX.

2) Turn dial to the RIGHT (clockwise), passing the first number and STOP when the second number is aligned with the INDEX.

3) Turn dial to LEFT (counterclockwise) and STOP when THIRD NUMBER is aligned with the INDEX.

4) Turn dial firmly to RIGHT (clockwise) to open lock WHILE PULLING THE DOOR OPEN.

The IUP Post Office provides University students, faculty, and staff with resources for shipping and receiving packages and standard mail through the United States Postal Service and on-campus delivery systems. The University Post Office is a contract station of the United States Postal Service. The University Post Office also offers Bulk Mailing services to University department. All postal services are provided at the lower level of Folger Hall, Maple St. entrance.

Centralized Resident Hall Mail boxes:

The on-going university initiative to enhance student services continues through the
Folger Hall renovation of university postal services. All IUP residence hall students will
have assigned mailboxes centralized in Folger Hall.

Additional services currently being developed, will include package delivery tracking and email notification of all received packages (USPS, UPS, FEDEX, DHL), USPS express, and USPS insured, certified, and delivery confirmation mail.

In the coming months, students will be able to access their mail box 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Folger Hall Postal Service window hours will eventually be expanded offering later postal service hours Monday through Friday with limited Saturday window service.
